The experiences I have had with Diigo have not been bad at all. I feel like it is a great program and tool to help students bookmark a link or having to highlight something and annotate. With that being said I like it just in the beginning for me it was kind of confusing because it is a new resource that I just started using so I have to get used to it. After using it for some assignments it was not as confusing no more for me to understand and be able to work with it. Only thing I do not like about it is that for new users it can be very confusing but from that being said it is a great resource for me and probably for other students as well.
When it comes to blogging I really loved it just because it is so simple to use and even when I first started using it I was not lost at all. I just liked how you can have fun with it and create your on page and make it seem really good with different designs. Interacting with your classmates blogs post as well is great because you can comment on there blogs and just have conversations on what they posted and if you agree. Overall blogging is great and I have really enjoyed using it for this class and posting my ideas and my blog post have just been great. I have nothing bad to say about it because I like it very much.
A Web 2.0 tool that would help me teaching is youtube. Youtube can be used for so many things I can use it to watch videos on teaching our any type of tutorial for kids who are stuck on work and need a better explanation. As teaching students a lot of teachers use youtube for many things to help kids understand a material or even making video yourself and can post it on youtube. It is very helpful for teachers and you can implement it into teaching and would help a lot because any type of material you need an example of is on youtube. https://www.youtube.com
Hello! I had a similar experience with the learning curve it took to get used to Diigo. It sounds like blogging, on the other hand, was an intuitive experience for you. I wonder if the differences between intuitive and non-intuitive technology tools will become more apparent as the digital divide deepens.
ReplyDeleteHi Cristian! I had a really similar experience with Diigo, it seems like a really useful tool. I like the point you made about using Youtube in the classroom, I hadn’t thought about it in the context of Web 2.0.
ReplyDeleteHi Christian, I was also confused with using Diigo however I feel more comfortable using it now. I honestly prefer to use other tools instead but I am fine using it. Youtube is an amazing example of Web 2.0, you can learn so much from other people both in school and out.
