Blog Journal 5

I started using twitter when I was in middle school and at first it was kinda hard to work it just because it was not as popular as it is now. Eventually it ended up being a great source for me to find out the weather and anything that was going on where I lived due to the fact that the weather channels would tweet everything as it happened.  Twitter has always been great with me because I can make a group chat with friends or anyone in general  and be able to send them motivational videos all at once. Twitter can help me in the future because if I ever need a reliable source of news twitter has reliable news sources that tweet by the minute.

When it comes to digital divide it really affects students now a days because most of the students do not have money to buy equipment for online classes. Low Income family's would not be able to afford a computer and then other students who can afford that equipment would be ahed of those students who do not have the equipment to be  able to connect to zoom classes would miss valuable information. If I was a teacher it would be very stressful to get all kids on online classes due to the fact that low income family's would not be able to get certain equipment so as a teacher, I would not be able to teach my lesson because some of the students would not be in class. That is why it would be so stressful for teachers to teach now due to the fact that everything is online.

The academic software that I would implement in my classes is word. I have used word for most of high school and college and it is just a great software. Word is so easy to use and has so many different options to help improve your writing and insert picture or anything in general. Also it would be great for my students because if they misspell a word or a format they are trying to use you can click on it and the correct version comes out and it just helps you correct your mistakes on the spot as you are writing.

  1. Hey Cristian! I definitely agree with you about the digital divide. I can't imagine how stressful it is to be a teacher right now. Even if we, as teachers, could provide computers to all students, there's still the issue of some students not having wi-fi at home. It's a real conundrum.
